Application Software Specialist:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Application Software Specialist for a 3 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Application Software Specialist - Job Description:
The Application Software Specialist will be responsible for the packaging and integration of applications to ensure they meet documented user requirements and best practices. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure effective, functional, and reliable deployment of software applications.

Application Software Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Package and integrate applications according to user requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with Desktop Engineering and Release Management teams for effective application packaging and deployment
• Ensure thorough testing is completed prior to production delivery
• Verify security controls in fixes and new or upgraded products
• Assist in application rationalization practices
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and maintain high customer satisfaction

Application Software Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Extensive knowledge of AdminStudio and InstallShield
• Experience with Windows XP and Windows 7
• Proficient in Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policies Objects
• Solid scripting skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Application Software Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of Managed Desktop Platforms
• Experience in application rationalization
• Innovative thinking and ability to estimate work effort costs
• Relationship management skills
• Business acumen

Application Software Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 3 month contract position.
