Clinical Assurance Analyst

On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is actively seeking a Clinical Assurance Analyst.

 

Clinical Assurance AnalystJob Details

The role will collaborate with a high-performing team and work with other stakeholders including the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, DOBC and vendors. 

The Clinical Assurance Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:  
  
  • Analyzing clinical (business) and technical requirements 
  • Working with Clinical Informatics Specialists to ensure requirements and user stories are understood and captured in test cases 
  • Developing, updating and executing test cases and test scenarios to achieve functional validation (TestRail experience preferred) 
  • Working with Clinical Informatics Specialists to ensure test cases have been reviewed and validated as sufficient for testing to proceed 
  • Assisting in troubleshooting bugs/defects, identifying or clarifying issues 
  • Filing and testing test bugs/defects 
  • Managing bug/defect status 
  • Carrying out test procedures as documented in the Product Test Plan 
  • Working with Subject Matter Experts to identify severity and impact of bugs 
  • Conducting Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Functional and Integration Testing within an Agile development environment. 
  • Assisting in End-to-End Product Validation from both a Clinical and Functional Perspective 
  • Collaborating with product configuration resources to ensure test coverage and assisting with conducting unit testing 
  • Participating in bug review meetings 
  • Maintaining documentation on JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams 
  • Supporting the development of automation testing 
  • Assisting with business and clinical systems reviews and needs assessments for referrals and orders 
  • Supporting current and future state workflow mapping, gap analysis, and clinical requirements related to referrals and orders
Supporting the identification and mitigation of clinical issues/risks associated with the successful design, build, launch, and sustainability of referrals/consults/orders  

Clinical Assurance Analyst Mandatory Skills

Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in working in major provincial clinical informatics or quality improvement initiatives in large, complex health care environments. A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in nursing or health sciences profession is preferred. 
 
Required 
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of clinical practice and workflows in healthcare delivery 
  • Previous clinical experience in the areas of primary care, electronic medical records, clinical information systems, referrals, and orders 
  • Working knowledge of clinical services, information technology and healthcare systems 
  • In depth experience creating and updating test plans and test cases, including functional validation 
  • Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment 
  • Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work in a team environment to build and maintain positive working relationships with vendor staff and external consultants will be key success factors in this role  
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with strong time management skills to meet project deadlines 
  • Familiarity and experience working in an Agile product development environment 
 
Preference given to consultants who have the following: 
  • Current registration and membership in good standing with the applicable provincial college and/or association. 
  • Experience or working knowledge of population and public health 
  • Working knowledge and experience with Agile as well as waterfall project management concepts practices, and deliverables 
  • A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development  
Significant experience in the application of change management tools and methodologies
