Job Description

Cloud Administrator:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Cloud Administrator for a 24-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

Cloud Administrator - Job Description:
The Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise cloud environments. With a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Solution (AVS), the role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of cloud infrastructure services while aligning with organizational governance, security, and compliance requirements.

Cloud Administrator - Responsibilities:
• Administer and support Azure resources including VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, and monitoring
• Support Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectivity
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address issues
• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Implement and maintain Azure security controls and manage administrative roles
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep/Terraform
• Manage subscriptions, resource groups, and apply Azure Policies

Cloud Administrator - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of infrastructure administration experience
• Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
• Experience with Azure Cloud Service Models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Cloud Administrator – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
• Experience with cost optimization and cloud financial management
• Experience with identity governance (PIM, Entra ID advanced features)
• Experience with cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
• Experience working in regulated or public sector environments

Cloud Administrator – Assignment Length:
The duration of the engagement may be for up to a 24-month term.
