Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform - Job Description:
The Cloud Engineer will contribute to the Cloud Security Engineering function, ensuring the long-term technical vision and roadmap are defined and maintained. The role involves building a cloud platform for IT security applications, focusing on future development, scalability, security, resiliency, and platform modernization.

Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform - Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Modules to manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments on Azure and GCP
• Deploy and manage core cloud primitives, including VPCs/VNets, subnets, firewall rules, IAM roles/service accounts, storage, databases, and compute
• Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines for Terraform code, ensuring infrastructure governance and compliance
• Integrate security best practices, IAM, network security, encryption, and policy enforcement into infrastructure designs
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-level failures across GCP and Azure, including networking misconfigurations, IAM permission errors, and state file issues

Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform - Mandatory Skills:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• 3 years of experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, Cloud IAM, and more
• 3 years of experience with core Azure Services, including AKS, Virtual Networks, Azure AD/EntraID, and Azure Storage
• 10 years of understanding Cloud Network fundamentals, VPs/VNets, subnets, routing tables, firewall rules, and hybrid connectivity
• Experience implementing CI/CD and GitOps workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, or similar

Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Ability to implement IAM, workload identity, encryption best practices, and Policy-as-code
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes networking
• Experienced with Cloud and Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC and secrets management
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks

Cloud Engineer, GKE – Terraform – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days in the office per week.
