Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist for a 3 month contract role. This position is remote and located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - Job Description:
Our client's data center exit initiative is in its final stages, transitioning the organization's on-premises environment into a multi-cloud model using Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is crucial for adding hands-on migration capacity to alleviate a resource bottleneck and meet the year-end deadline.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Perform hands-on server and workload migrations using Azure Migrate, HCX, and related tooling.
• Prioritize Windows Server migrations, as most remaining volume is Windows-based.
• Support remaining Linux migration work as needed.
• Build and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code for automated and repeatable deployments.
• Apply Policy as Code to automate governance and compliance requirements.
• Validate completed migrations and maintain an audit record of work performed.
• Follow established implementation patterns and approved processes.
• Flag risks and process gaps early, proposing fixes proactively.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Hands-on migration experience with Azure and GCP.
• Direct experience with Azure Migrate and HCX-based migration tooling.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience.
• Working Linux administration experience.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Comfortable working independently in a forming platform/infrastructure team.
• Clear, proactive communicator with problem-solving skills.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Policy as Code experience (e.g., Azure Policy, Open Policy Agent).
• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Accessible and teamwork-oriented approach.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position, with a strong preference for candidates open to contract-to-hire.

ASAP.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - Assignment Location:
Remote, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
