Cobol/CICS Developer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Cobol/CICS Developer for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Cobol/CICS Developer - Job Description:
This role involves supporting mission-critical applications with a focus on scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that underpin customer data and regulatory compliance platforms. The project includes both business-as-usual tasks and significant project work, allowing the candidate to gain valuable experience in mainframe technology.

Cobol/CICS Developer - Responsibilities:
• Translate business requirements into technical design documents.
• Develop, test, and implement mainframe solutions.
• Support seed testing and production implementation.
• Provide technical support during incident management.
• Participate in quality management reviews.
• Maintain high-quality code in compliance with enterprise standards.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.

Cobol/CICS Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong engineering background with enterprise applications.
• 10+ years of application development experience.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, SAS.
• Experience with IBM OS/390, Z/OS, TSO, ISPF.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe platforms and development tools.
• Experience with batch processing systems and online transaction processing.
• Strong academic background in computer science or engineering.

Cobol/CICS Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in financial services/Card Payment Network industries.
• Familiarity with TIBCO, NDM, FTP, Endevor.
• Experience with Service Now.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Technical certification as an asset.

Cobol/CICS Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position.

Cobol/CICS Developer - Start Date:
ASAP.

Cobol/CICS Developer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid – 2 days in office (Monday and Wednesday).
