Communications Specialist III:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Communications Specialist III for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Houston, Texas office.

Communications Specialist III - Job Description:
This role is responsible for shaping and executing integrated communications in support of major capital projects, including U.S. Gulf Coast projects. The Communications Specialist III will work closely with various departments to support project approvals, public understanding, and reputation outcomes by developing clear and accessible narratives.

Communications Specialist III - Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain project narratives and message platforms aligned with corporate strategy.
• Execute strategic communications ensuring message consistency across various media.
• Coordinate responses and finalize communications products for audience-specific needs.
• Support media strategy, including proactive storytelling and rapid-response support.
• Oversee multi-channel content development, including websites, social media, and internal communications.
• Work with various engagement teams to support stakeholder activities with clear messaging.
• Define metrics, monitor public sentiment, and refine strategies based on insights.

Communications Specialist III - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• At least 8 years of communications experience, preferably in major projects or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of media relations, strategic messaging, and stakeholder communications.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
• Experience in communications measurement and performance reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative and able to influence across functions and leadership levels.

Communications Specialist III – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with communications in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with Indigenous and Tribal engagement.
• Experience managing external consultants and agencies.
• Knowledge of Gulf Coast region projects.
• Understanding of project management principles.

Communications Specialist III – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position.
