On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Consultant, IT Cyber Security Risk - Governance and Oversight for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Consultant, IT Cyber Security Risk - Governance and Oversight - Job Description:
The project involves managing a newly formed Governance function for the office of the CISO at the bank, spanning all Cyber Security domains. The role focuses on metrics, monitoring, reporting, and driving governance activities across different pillars such as issue management, risks, and controls.

Consultant, IT Cyber Security Risk - Governance and Oversight - Responsibilities:
• Drive consistent governance routines, adherence to risk and control framework requirements, and issue management practices across the organization.
• Enhance current processes by introducing AI-driven automation enablement.
• Document, manage, and automate workflow management activities leveraging enterprise tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Establish governance mechanisms for comprehensive reporting and oversight across applicable Cyber domains.
• Identify systemic risks and emerging trends to inform leadership decision-making.
• Develop and deliver actionable reporting tailored for senior management and risk committees.
• Facilitate governance forums and drive executive-level discussions.
• Monitor emerging threats and trends within the technology landscape.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide updates on project status and risk issues.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to achieve impactful business outcomes.
• Design, implement, and enhance governance activities for CISO and Cyber operations.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise IT Risk and Cyber operations governance requirements.

Consultant, IT Cyber Security Risk - Governance and Oversight - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years consulting experience with large financial institutions or tech companies.
• 7+ years experience managing IT and Cyber Security risk.
• Experience in governance roles.
• Proficiency in Excel and JIRA.
• Experience with automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Consultant, IT Cyber Security Risk - Governance and Oversight – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous experience at the bank.
• Experience with AI.
• Experience in Tech or IT roles.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to identify and communicate systemic risks.
