Job Description
Contract Administrator:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Contract Administrator for a 3-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.
Contract Administrator - Job Description:
The project involves the administration and management of contracts related to key supplies, equipment, and services for the Electricity Business Unit. The Contract Administrator will focus on execution, monitoring, negotiation of change orders, amendments, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms to minimize legal risks and maximize profitability.
Contract Administrator - Responsibilities:
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms
• Prepare and manage contract deliverable matrices outlining obligations and actions
• Collaborate with project teams to develop risk registers and mitigation measures
• Verify and negotiate contract change requests and amendments
• Resolve contract issues, claims, and disputes efficiently
• Lead or participate in contractor performance and post-completion reviews
• Work with Common Services and Procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure accurate monthly accrual of project contract costs
Contract Administrator - Mandatory Skills:
• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or project management
• Working knowledge of contract composition, contract law, and dispute resolution
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Proven negotiating skills
Contract Administrator – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Post-secondary courses in Contract Management/Contract Law
• Certified Construction Contract Administration (CCCA)
• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation
• Experience in large, complex oil and gas companies
• Knowledge of project scheduling and financial reporting
Contract Administrator – Assignment Length:
This is approx a 3-month contract position.
Contract Administrator - Assignment Location:
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office.
