Contract Credit Specialist:
Procom is searching for a Contract Credit Specialist for 12 month contract. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Calgary office.

Contract Credit Specialist - Job Description:
This contractor position involves managing daily counterparty credit exposures and business relationships within the controls and credit risk appetite outlined in the Credit Policy, Standards, and Procedures. The role requires strong financial and technical analytical skills, effective collaboration, and the ability to build and manage relationships with both external counterparties and internal stakeholders.

Contract Credit Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily credit exposures within approved credit limits and tenors, ensuring compliance with the Credit Policy, Standards, and Procedures across all business segments.
• Conduct ongoing credit analysis by interpreting internal and external market intelligence to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Complete complex credit reviews across a wide range of counterparties and provide recommendations for approval in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.
• Contribute to daily, monthly, and quarterly credit reporting and portfolio monitoring activities.
• Own and maintain quantitative scoring models which support portfolio benchmarking analysis.
• Support contract and collateral negotiations while actively monitoring counterparty and portfolio exposures.
• Act as a key liaison to the business, supporting new counterparty requests and advising on deal structures while building strong internal and external relationships.
• Leverage knowledge of commodity trading markets, ETRM systems, and technical tools (Power BI, Power Automate, and Databricks) to support data analysis, reporting, and process automation.

Contract Credit Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant credit experience in the energy industry with an understanding of both physical and financial markets
• Strong financial and technical analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships
• Experience with ETRM systems and technical tools
• Strong business acumen

Contract Credit Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• CFA designation
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience with Power Automate
• Experience with Databricks
• Understanding of commodity trading markets

Contract Credit Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position for approx 12 months.
