Job Description

The FMT Tech is responsible for the safe efficient execution of the dispatcher's schedule and adhoc requests. Boots on the ground execution role.

Responsibilities
• Act as the primary safety leader for the team involved in structured engagements such as equipment and facility inspections, TDG compliance spot checks, behavior observations, and all other applicable leading indicator submissions.
• Understand site execution requirements and work with dispatch to ensure appropriate equipment and competent personnel execute all requested job scopes.
• Participate in all required major maintenance and operations activity planning, including but not limited to planning/scheduling reviews, risk assessments, critical job reviews, vendor job plans, and quote reviews.
• Responsible to work with the MM Specialists on major projects to ensure proper cleaning plans and chemical management plans are submitted for review and approval.
• Responsible for the boot on the ground supervision of the Fluid Management team on major projects.
• Supervision of service providers performing high risk activities including confined space activities in tanks/vessels/exchangers plus specialty cleaning, dealing with high pressures with steam, produced fluids, hydrocarbons, and control/management of H2S/benzene etc.
• Acts as a logistics coordinator when necessary to support Incident Command team
• Participate in Supply Chain Management scorecard reviews for Fluid Haul vendors
• Participate in Root Cause investigating inclusive of 5 why’s and causal mapping.
• Verify the cleaning is complete as per the contract by entering the tank/vessel/exchanger (or observe from inspection doors if entry is not possible) along with the service provider supervisor.
• Contact stakeholder supervisors to confirm that the cleaning has met their requirements before releasing the service provider.
• Redirect the cleaning service provider to remedy areas of concern if the cleaning does not meet the stakeholders' requirements.
• Release the cleaning service provider after stakeholders have signed the FMT cleaning checklist.
• Prepare daily emails, including production report, IMS summary, significant incident report, and contractor staffing.
• Ensure compliance with Cenovus policies and procedures, contractors' contracts and rate sheets, contractors' policies and procedures, contractors' standard operating procedures, and the integrated schedule.
• Provide technical support and guidance on fluid management and industrial cleaning services to other teams as needed.
• Other duties as required by the FMT Coordinator
• Nightshifts as required as directed by the FMT coordinator.
• Responsible for temporary coverage of dispatcher when necessary.
• Fill in for Fluid Haul Coordinator when required
Deliverables
• FMT Best practice communication and administration (PAR & Vehicle inspection requirements).
• Support Area Work teams PDO, SWU, Offsites and Major Maintenance in their daily work plans. Communicate updates as required. Communicate lesson learned on specific specialty work.
• Review and verify policy/procedures.
• Pre job scopes for OPS/AWT/MM/TAR cleaning and routine work requirements. CSE meetings and LOTO walkdown as required.
• Cleaning Plan/Schedule monitoring -If the plan requires revision.
• Verify Asset for Cleanliness prior to hand over to OPS/AWT/MM
• Source and book required vendors for Industrial Cleaning resources as relates to Fluid Management for Ad hoc Non routine work and MM/AWT requirements.
• Site contact for all Industrial Cleaning communication of work schedule revision
• Site contact for all work revisions- Phone / Radio /SF Chat
• Review and verify all Industrial Cleaning Salesforce Work Orders.
• Monitor MM/AWT schedules for updates/changes/compliance.
• Close Industrial Cleaning MHD workorders and ensure all SR’s are progressed to completed status.
• Ensure a comment is entered for “Cannot Complete” and “Reject” status.
• Ensure CVE coding is applied. First level LEM approval(Verification) for Industrial Cleaning MHD activities.
• Attend Fluid Haul morning crew talks on Cenovus behalf
• MM, and AWT scheduling meetings
• Provide direction / support to FMT vendors (Examples below)
• Blending- Hot Produced Water Tank Levels to determine if the loads need to be mixed to achieve desired temperatures.
• Tank Farm – Issue permits (Christina Lake)
• Tri Canter feed Tank 202C/D Levels to determine load destination- (Offsite).
• CVE Representative for Lime sludge Transport Vendor
• Maintain FMT radios and manifest printer.

Qualifications
• Experience in the oil and gas industry, SAGD operations is preferred
• Competence with “Salesforce” technology.
• Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders (Plant, Field, Well delivery, field accommodations, turnaround management)
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as OSHA and TDG
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Experience using SAP, Salesforce, SharePoint and Microsoft Excel or related computer programs is an asset
• Possess the ability and skills for forecasting resourcing requirements and implementation.
• A working knowledge of company Health and Safety Regulations and Safe Work Practices requirements
• Collaborate with Operational personnel in problem solving for plant requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Alcohol and Drug policy which includes pre-assignment testing.

Qualifications

Experience in Fluid Hauling, Industrial Cleaning Services, and Turnaround Planning within an operating plant and field environment preferred.: 3 - 5 years (Required)
