Controller:
On behalf of our Engineering client, Procom is searching for a Controller for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Katy, Texas office.

Controller - Job Description:
As the Controller, you will serve as the Financial Navigator, overseeing full-cycle accounting, project costing, and financial reporting for a specialized engineering and electrical contracting group. This role bridges the gap between technical field work and corporate financial health, ensuring precise financial management and strategic decision-making support.

Controller - Responsibilities:
• Own the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting processes
• Ensure accurate billing and manage accounts receivable
• Master complex GovCon portals for financial submissions
• Maintain job cost and project financial visibility
• Implement practical internal controls and audit-ready documentation
• Communicate clearly and enforce financial discipline

Controller - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience including month-end close
• Strong job cost/project accounting experience
• Advanced Excel competency
• Experience with Payroll, AP/AR reconciliations, and Internal Control
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping systems and financial reporting

Controller – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Passed the CPA exam
• Experience with SAM, PIEE, WAWF, and GSA Portals
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Expensify, or industry-specific tools

Controller – Assignment Length:
This is a permanent position.

ASAP.

Controller - Assignment Location:
Katy, Texas, United States. This position is onsite full-time, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
