Job Description
We’re hiring a Server Test Engineer to support server hardware testing and validation in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring high quality, reliability, and consistent test execution.
What You’ll Do
- Test and validate server hardware components; execute comprehensive test cycles
- Create and run test plans, test cases, and test scripts to global standards
- Identify, document, and track defects; partner with engineering to drive fixes
- Review designs/specs and provide feedback from a test/validation perspective
- Analyze results and deliver clear reports to stakeholders
- Set up lab/test infrastructure (core servers, switches, rack cabling)
- Troubleshoot test issues using Python and Bash/Shell tools
What You Bring (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of server hardware testing experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of x86 Intel server architecture and/or ARM + NVIDIA GPU technologies
- Deep understanding of BIOS/UEFI and BMC validation (Redfish, PLDM, IPMI)
- Familiarity with server components (CPU, memory, PSU, motherboard, etc.)
- Experience with Windows Server, RHEL/SUSE, VMware
- Networking fundamentals (IP, routing, MAC, port troubleshooting)
- Ability to configure PXE, DHCP, and related services
- Background in manufacturing/production test environments
Work Setup
- Onsite in Whitsett, NC
- Standard full-time schedule (40 hrs/week)
