Senior Technical Writer:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Senior Technical Writer for a 12-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Raleigh, NC office.

Job Description:
The Senior Technical Writer will independently manage documentation initiatives, lead AI-assisted content improvement efforts, and develop scalable, user-focused technical content. This role involves creating clear, modular documentation that supports customer success and aligns with enterprise content standards.

Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for enterprise software products and services.
• Develop modular, reusable, and scalable content designed for user consumption and AI-assisted discovery.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-focused documentation.
• Lead AI-assisted content gap analysis initiatives to identify documentation improvements.
• Independently manage multiple concurrent documentation workstreams with minimal supervision.
• Apply topic-based authoring principles and information architecture methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, product management, support teams, and subject matter experts.

Mandatory Skills:
• Enterprise-level technical writing experience, including collaborative writing environments.
• Experience with topic-based authoring and information architecture methodologies; DITA experience preferred.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
• Experience working with version control systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Linux environments and command-line operations.
• Experience using AI tools to support technical writing and content development.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Understanding of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
• Knowledge of Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Experience supporting enterprise software or cloud infrastructure environments.

Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
