Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate:
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate for a 9-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate - Job Description:
Develop Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Microsoft Power BI to support a variety of business needs, following all applicable standards and best practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple technology teams to translate business requirements and lead solution development.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate - Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and delivery of ministry-specific analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Work closely with client groups to assess current analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Facilitate decision-making and manage client expectations.
• Own the execution of analytics initiatives, including end-to-end reporting and dataset delivery.
• Develop robust statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Participate in documentation, development, testing, and end-user training.
• Collaborate with functional experts and stakeholders to develop Business Intelligence solutions.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills:
• Power BI Dashboard & Report Development
• DAX
• Power Query (M)
• SQL
• Data Modeling
• ETL & Data Integration
• Data Quality Management

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public sector experience
• Experience with cloud analytics platforms
• Familiarity with modern data ecosystems
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Experience with statistical analysis and modeling

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Intermediate – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position from July to March 31, 2027.
