Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior - Job Description:
This is a new role within the Government Services Integration Cluster, focusing on a critical project regarding analytics and data management. The project involves developing functional and ministry-specific analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and delivery of analytics to support decision-making and produce actionable insights.
• Work closely with client groups to assess current analytics capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate decision-making and manage client expectations.
• Own the execution of analytics initiatives, including end-to-end reporting and data set delivery.
• Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms for business scenarios.
• Participate in documentation, development, testing, and end-user training.
• Collaborate with experts to understand business issues and develop Business Intelligence solutions.
• Design methods to capture, structure, and process data for model generation.
• Build data models that provide accurate and unbiased information.
• Communicate complex analysis clearly, providing visuals and summaries.
• Provide interpretation, advice, and expertise to client groups and stakeholders.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Proficiency in coding and data manipulation, alongside SQL for managing large databases.
• Ability to source, clean, transform, and structure unstructured datasets.
• Over 5 years of experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Over 5 years of experience with big data frameworks.
• Experience with predictive algorithms, classification models, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting.
• Experience with large government applications.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Experience with custom Web API development and Azure SQL.
• Proficiency in cloud service models: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with analytical software such as R, PowerPivot, Matlab, SPSS, or SAS.

Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
