Data and AI Architect:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Data and AI Architect for a backfill role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary OR Edmonton office.

Data and AI Architect - Job Description:
The Data and AI Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing modern, scalable enterprise data architectures and AI initiatives. This role involves the operationalization of AI projects, including developing predictive modeling and analytics solutions. The architect will work closely with executive leadership to deliver actionable insights and optimize data lifecycle management.

Data and AI Architect - Responsibilities:
• Architect scalable platforms, including hybrid lakehouses and analytical databases
• Operationalize enterprise AI initiatives, focusing on LLM, RAG, model fine-tuning, and NLP
• Drive lifecycle management, cost optimization, and capacity planning
• Deliver batch and real-time streaming pipelines using ETL/ELT frameworks
• Ensure reliability and observability through data transformation and continuous monitoring
• Develop analytics solutions for predictive modeling, forecasting, and optimization
• Establish end-to-end MLOps/LLMOps frameworks

Data and AI Architect - Mandatory Skills:
• Masters in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields
• 5+ years (PhD) or 10+ years (Masters) of directly related experience
• Experience with MS Azure and enterprise data architectures
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work self-directed and identify operational opportunities

Data and AI Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields
• Experience with executive-ready dashboards and reporting
• Strategic collaboration skills
• Experience in interdepartmental collaboration
• Time management skills

Data and AI Architect – Assignment Length:
6 months with potential extension

Data and AI Architect - Assignment Location:
Calgary or Edmonton Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office.
