Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Data and Reporting Analyst - Senior. This is a hybrid contract role in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with 2 days in office per week.

Role Overview:

This role supports Treasury & Payment Solutions Technology by transforming complex ITSM and operational data into actionable insights that enhance service performance and strategic decision-making. The analyst will lead the design and evolution of enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and ServiceNow, partnering with technology, operations, and business stakeholders to drive proactive, insight-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver Power BI dashboards to provide visibility into ITSM performance, KPIs, and operational health
  • Integrate and analyze data from ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB), cloud, infrastructure, and application sources
  • Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Perform proactive trend analysis to identify systemic issues and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize reporting needs, and deliver scalable solutions
  • Establish and maintain standard reporting frameworks, KPI definitions, and data models
  • Ensure data quality, governance, integrity, and documentation across reporting solutions
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement to reduce manual effort and enhance reporting efficiency
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to support data-informed decision-making

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence roles
  • 5+ years of Power BI development experience, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and Site Reliability Engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM data (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB) and operational reporting
  • Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights and compelling narratives for business and leadership audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Experience in Information Technology environments, preferably within financial services

  • Previous financial services experience

Qualifications

Previous financial services experience: 0 - 3 years (Desired)
