Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME:
On behalf of our banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME - Job Description:
The project involves business as usual (BAU) tasks to ensure data protection and backup solutions are effectively managed across multiple lines of business. The role is to replace a team member on maternity leave and offers exposure to various management and stakeholders within the bank.

Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME - Responsibilities:
• Identify applications in scope and ensure data accuracy by analyzing business requirement documents
• Communicate and liaise with application contact persons
• Onboard clients to backup platforms
• Ensure backups follow immutability requirements and monitor/report on them
• Cleanup unnecessary backups and manage capacity
• Create, maintain, and update runbooks, dashboards, and scorecards related to immutability
• Deploy corresponding infrastructure as needed
• Assist team in other day-to-day activities

Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ Years' experience with Data Domain, NetBackup, Commvault, TSM/Spectrum Protect
• 5+ years' experience analyzing business requirements and translating them to technical specifications
• 5+ years' experience in a Data Protection environment for major corporations
• 5+ years' experience in Data Domain infrastructure
• 5+ years' experience in capacity management and data analytics
• 3-4 years of experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell)
• Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate with stakeholders

Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Agile experience
• ServiceNow experience
• Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables

Data Domain/NetBackup/Commvault/TSM/Spectrum Protect SME – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office, with the possibility of increasing to 4 days in the coming months.
