Data Engineers x2:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Engineers x2 for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Data Engineers x2 - Job Description:
The project involves enhancing Global Asset Management Technology capabilities, focusing on optimizing trade strategies and ensuring efficient execution of investment decisions. The role will leverage advanced functionalities of Databricks as part of a business transformation journey.

Data Engineers x2 - Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage data pipelines using ADF and Databricks
• Implement data governance and setup/configuration with Unity Catalog
• Load datasets from various sources using Medallion architecture
• Convert Databricks workspace from hive metastore to Unity Catalog
• Create delta table schemas with appropriate design and security permissions
• Lead technical problem-solving sessions and work independently

Data Engineers x2 - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ Years experience with ADF, Databricks, and Azure Functions (C#)
• Expert knowledge of Unity Catalog and data governance
• Experience with Medallion architecture in Databricks
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps/GitHub Enterprise for deployment
• In-depth experience with Azure PaaS resources

Data Engineers x2 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Delta Live Table
• Financial Services Industry experience
• Familiarity with highly regulated industry environments
• Previous banking or financial institution experience
• Excellent communication skills

Data Engineers x2 – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 1 day in the office.
