Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL):
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL) for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL) - Job Description:
The role involves leading and designing trade and transaction data models and data products to support a transformational operations initiative. The project focuses on creating and optimizing end-to-end real-time exception workflows to establish a unified, asset-agnostic data ecosystem.

Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL) - Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the execution of all phases of the data requirements process, including planning, data elicitation, extraction, analysis, documentation, and support.
• Establish best practices for data modeling and ontology across the team.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data sources, business event needs, requirements, data lineage, technical specifications, and key success metrics.
• Define comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements for technology, architecture, tooling, and data products.
• Work with architecture teams to ensure data solutions are real-time and asset-agnostic.
• Validate and enhance the exception schema and data model for the Common Exception Manager platform.
• Analyze and document trade lifecycle requirements and establish the data models for real-time exception and transaction processing.

Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL) - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7-10 years of experience with logical/physical relational data modeling, data profiling, pattern recognition, and advanced data analysis
• Experience establishing a centralized exception data layer
• Expertise in trade and transaction data
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with data taxonomy and ontology
• Skills in query design

Data Expert, Trade & Transaction Data Transformation (Python/SQL) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with JIRA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of R Programming
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities

This is a 6-month contract position.
