Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME:
On behalf of our cybersecurity client, Procom is searching for a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME for a 6 month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME - Job Description:
The client is seeking a senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) specialist to evaluate current-state data protection capabilities and assist in defining the future direction of the enterprise DLP program. This involves assessing existing controls, identifying gaps and risks, and providing strategic recommendations across various environments to enhance data protection capabilities.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME - Responsibilities:
• Assess current DLP controls, policies, technologies, and operational processes
• Identify data protection risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Develop recommendations to enhance monitoring, policy enforcement, and incident response capabilities
• Conduct market research and evaluate DLP technologies across endpoint, email, cloud, and SaaS environments
• Compare solution options based on functionality, integration capabilities, scalability, operational effort, and cost
• Develop DLP strategies, roadmaps, and implementation recommendations
• Create documentation and decision-support materials for security leadership and stakeholders
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to align recommendations with organizational objectives
• Support the maturation of enterprise data protection and information security programs

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience
• Direct experience in Data Loss Prevention, data protection, or information security strategy
• Proven experience developing enterprise DLP strategies and roadmaps
• Strong hands-on experience with DLP technologies
• Experience evaluating and selecting enterprise security tools
• Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data protection risks
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Microsoft Purview DLP, Symantec DLP, Netskope, Forcepoint, or similar platforms
• Financial services or highly regulated industry experience
• Experience with data classification and information protection programs
• CASB and cloud security experience
• Experience preparing executive-level recommendations and presentations

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office.
