Data Platform Developer:
On behalf of our banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Platform Developer for a 6-month role. This position is a remote position with work based out of our client’s Calgary office.

Data Platform Developer - Job Description:
As a Data Platform Developer, you will support the GCP Data Analytics platform by performing maintenance activities, upgrades, and feature enablement. The DEEP Sustainment project focuses on enhancing the Data Platform in GCP, enabling new features to support the data analyst and AI community.

Data Platform Developer - Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance activities and upgrades on the GCP Data Analytics platform
• Enable new features and troubleshoot data processing issues
• Enhance CICD/Gitlab and provide support for promotion releases
• Collaborate with the Data Operations team to streamline processes

Data Platform Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Gitlab
• Technical knowledge of GCP
• Problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team

Data Platform Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, PubSub, Airflow, Cloud Storage
• Familiarity with Dataplex and Collibra
• Experience in a remote working environment
• Knowledge of AI and data analytics
• Experience in a small team setting

Data Platform Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 5-month contract position with the possibility for extension.

Data Platform Developer - Assignment Location:
Remote, anywhere in Canada working Mountain Time business hours, with the position based out of Calgary, Alberta.
