On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office. 

Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL - Job Description:
The Data Product Manager will play a crucial role in the Global Wealth Management Data Centre of Excellence. This role is centered on the execution of the data product roadmap, contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality data products aligned with GWM's data strategy. The project involves the implementation of a data platform for AI and fostering an insights-driven culture.

Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL - Responsibilities:
• Support the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, user acceptance testing, and launch.
• Assist in maintaining the data product backlog, writing user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value and user needs.
• Ensure data products adhere to established data governance policies and quality standards.
• Assist in the documentation of metadata, data lineage, and quality rules for data products.
• Execute data quality checks and support the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data products, helping to identify and triage issues.
• Work closely with business analysts and end-users to understand and document detailed data requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for project teams, helping to clarify requirements and facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of data products by analyzing data, identifying patterns, and providing insights to the Senior Manager.
• Support the team's use-case-based approach to growing data product capabilities by focusing on the detailed execution of the product roadmap.

Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL - Mandatory Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role
• Strong understanding of cloud concepts related to data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience with SQL for data analysis
• 2+ years of experience presenting (must have strong presentation skills)
• Strong proficiency in MS Tools (Excel, PPT, Word)

Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)
• Knowledge of Databricks
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Data Product Manager, Cloud Data Pipelines - SQL – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from ASAP to October 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension and conversion to FTE.
