Data Scientist

On behalf of our Public Sector client we are seeking a Data Scientist to support a long-term contract opportunity

-Hybrid work required on-site in Ottawa

-Must be eligible to receive a Top Secret clearance


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the business and functional requirements gathering/creation and analysis • Define, develop and lead data science initiatives which identify exploitation opportunities, and provide options, solutions and capabilities to address them.
• Autonomously find, enrich, transform, interpret, and exploit data to create intelligence products.
• Perform or assist with data reviews, data cleansing and data deliverables
• Effectively communicate and present findings to specialists, management and non-technical audiences.
• Clearly document methodologies employed in research and data exploitation solutions.
• Contribute and help define the Data Science program/roadmap for the organization
• Be responsible for ensuring the analysis and design of the solutions adhere to:
i. Industry standards, best practices and System Development Life Cycle
ii. Architectural principles and align with the organization’s long-term vision iii. Appropriate policies and directives of PSEPC and the federal government
• Be responsible for coaching and mentoring junior team members of Canada’s Employees

DELIVERABLES
• Keep all documents and proprietary information confidential;
• Complete all tasks, deliverables and milestones as defined;
• Submit all written reports in a format to be mutually determined;
• Participate in meetings, as needed;

Senior Data Scientist
• University undergraduate degree or diploma or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience working working with datasets having 2 Million records or more.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience gathering requirements and identifying opportunities to apply data science towards business objectives.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience working with one or more of the following technologies: TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience prototyping and developing data exploitation capabilities using Python.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in the creation and implementation of algorithms and statistical techniques to resolve data science problems.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience with working with text analytics and natural language processing (NLP).
• A minimum of ten years’ experience working with computer vision algorithms in relation to artificial intelligence.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in design, creation, and implementation of graph analytics.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience complex data processing for time series and patterns of life analyses.

This posting is for a public sector assignment. Compensation will be determined through the competitive bidding process and will be within the approved rate structure for this assignment.
