Database Administrator - Intermediate
On behalf of our Science and Technology client, Procom is searching for a Database Administrator - Intermediate for a 4-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Database Administrator - Intermediate - Job Description
This role involves a critical project concerning the migration of on-premises databases to the Azure cloud. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing the migration while ensuring the smooth operation of existing systems.

Database Administrator - Intermediate - Responsibilities
• Create physical database designs and administer the database management system (DBMS) including optimization, capacity planning, installation, and migration.
• Manage day-to-day operations of Microsoft Dynamics GP and collaborate with the finance team.
• Configure migration project and replication prerequisites.
• Prepare target network/security settings for migrated VMs.
• Develop backup, monitoring, and Defender baseline plans for migrated workloads.

Database Administrator - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills
• Database administration, On-premises and On-cloud (Azure).
• Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains (GP).
• CRM Salesforce experience.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Finance system concepts.

Database Administrator - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP / Dynamics 365 Finance experience.

Database Administrator - Intermediate – Assignment Length
This is a 4-month contract position with potential for extension based on performance.

ASAP.

Toronto, Ontario, onsite 5 days a week.
