Work mode: Remote work
Length of assignment: 10-month contract with extension possibility
Must be eligible to receive a Canadian federal security clearance
The Dayforce WFM Configuration Consultant is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Dayforce Workforce Management (WFM) and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) functionality. This role requires expertise in pay code configuration, leave management, labor metrics, workforce rules, scheduling, compliance, and union-based pay and work rules.
The consultant will work closely with HR, Payroll, Operations, and Labor Relations teams to ensure accurate workforce configuration and compliance with organizational and union requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Dayforce Workforce Management components including:
- Pay codes
- Leave codes
- Labor metrics
- Scheduling rules
- Workforce policies
- Time entry validations
- Configure and support Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rules and pay structures.
- Ensure all related configuration components are updated when creating or modifying pay codes.
- Review employee visibility and security settings when configuring leave codes.
- Configure labour metrics and workforce productivity tracking.
- Support workforce compliance requirements including overtime, premiums, shift rules, and union agreements.
- Configure and maintain pay policies, work assignments, and labor allocation rules.
- Troubleshoot WFM calculation, scheduling, attendance, and accrual issues.
- Conduct testing and validation for workforce and payroll integrations.
- Support implementations, enhancements, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Operations, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end workforce solution accuracy.
- Document configuration changes, testing results, and business processes.
- Provide knowledge transfer and user support.
- 3+ years of Dayforce WFM configuration experience.
- Experience configuring Dayforce CBA/union rules.
- Strong understanding of:
- Pay policies
- Scheduling

- Pay codes
- Leave codes
- Labor metrics
- Accruals
- Overtime rules
- Shift premiums
- Experience troubleshooting workforce management issues.

- Dayforce Workforce Management (WFM)
- Dayforce CBA configuration

- Workforce compliance setup
- Payroll integration
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Dayforce WFM certification preferred.
- Experience supporting unionized environments.
- Experience with multi-site or enterprise workforce management implementations.
- Experience integrating WFM with Payroll and HR modules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Payroll, or related field preferred.
