Design Specialist:
Procom is searching for a Design Specialist for a 2-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Design Specialist - Job Description:
The project involves executing a Physical Location Strategy, focusing on design documentation and space planning for a financial institution. The Design Specialist will be responsible for creating construction and furniture documentation, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and maintaining quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Design Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Create all relevant construction and furniture documentation across all project stages.
• Apply established brand standards and specifications for visual consistency and cost-effective execution.
• Conduct regular audits and site visits to ensure compliance with standards, building codes, and safety regulations. 
• Monitor project timelines and quality standards, addressing technical challenges and mitigating risks.
• Uphold stakeholder relationships by addressing unique business needs, including operational security and client confidentiality.

Design Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Conceptual Translation: Ability to transform business objectives into physical environments.
• Human-Centric Design Application: Integrate empathy-led design principles into technical drawings.
• Creative Documentation: Produce comprehensive packages from initial sketch to final construction.
• Decision-Making & Problem-Solving: Evaluate options and make sound technical decisions.
• Communication: Build rapport with stakeholders and convey complex design information clearly.
• Adaptability: Embrace evolving priorities and adapt design strategies.
• Drawing Production: Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for precise design plans and technical specifications.

Design Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with retail financial design principles.
• Knowledge of universal accessibility and neurodiversity considerations.
• Familiarity with wellness standards in design.
• Understanding of line-of-sight security and acoustic privacy.
• Experience in a financial institution setting.

Design Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 2-year contract position with a possibility for extension.

Design Specialist - Assignment Location:
Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Hybrid with 2-3 days in office per week.
