Job Description
Senior Digital Product Manager
Assignment Details
- End date: 12/31/2027 (highly likely to extend)
- Location: Hybrid, onsite 4 days/week in Austin, TX
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
Retail Digital defines, delivers, and manages the platforms and services behind the digital client interactions, aiming for experiences that are intuitive, efficient, and trusted. The team is seeking an analytical, organized, future-focused Senior Manager, Digital Product Management to support a strategic international digital initiative, leading the definition and delivery of client experiences across the authenticated website and the retail mobile app.
The role maps the end-to-end client journey, identifies gaps and opportunities, and turns business, regulatory, operational, and technology needs into defined digital capabilities. It determines the systems, business rules, data, and functional requirements needed to enable the experience.
Unlike a traditional product manager on a single product line or established scrum team, this role initially works across multiple teams and workstreams. As the initiative progresses, the individual may take product leadership of a dedicated delivery team. What You’ll Do
- Lead discovery and requirements definition for a complex international digital initiative across authenticated web and mobile experiences
- Map the end-to-end client journey across digital, operational, and servicing touchpoints
- Identify experience gaps, opportunities, dependencies, and areas needing new or enhanced digital capabilities
- Define the intended client experience: workflows, business rules, decision points, error handling, content needs, and exception scenarios
- Translate business and client needs into detailed functional requirements for design and technology teams
- Define and document digital development scope: what is required, what is not, and which teams or platforms are affected
- Identify the backend domains, systems, services, data, and integrations needed to enable the experience
- Partner with architecture and technology teams on feasibility, dependencies, implementation options, and sequencing
- Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, business, operations, service, design, and technology partners so requirements are complete and properly reviewed
- Partner with UX design and research on intuitive web and mobile experiences for international clients
- Serve as the central digital product contact for the initiative, keeping participating teams aligned and resolving cross-domain questions
- Work with project and program managers to define and track workstreams, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, and delivery readiness
- Facilitate working sessions that bring business, product, design, technology, and control partners together to resolve ambiguity
- Communicate complex experience and technology considerations clearly to working teams and senior leaders
- Support prioritization and tradeoff decisions based on client impact, business value, risk, feasibility, dependencies, and constraints
- Maintain traceability from the client journey through business requirements, functional requirements, design decisions, and delivery scope
- Monitor delivery against the defined experience and requirements, and flag gaps or deviations
- Potentially provide product leadership for a dedicated scrum team (backlog, story refinement, prioritization, acceptance criteria, stakeholder alignment) as the initiative progresses
- Act as client advocate and digital experience SME through discovery, planning, and delivery
- Extensive experience leading the definition and delivery of complex digital experiences across responsive web and mobile apps
- Strong digital product management experience: discovery, journey mapping, scope definition, functional requirements, and delivery oversight
- Expert ability to turn client, business, operational, regulatory, and technology needs into detailed, actionable requirements
- Experience evaluating end-to-end journeys across multiple product, platform, data, and operational domains
- Strong understanding of how front-end experiences relate to backend systems, services, data, and business logic
- Excellent listening and analytical skills, able to uncover the intent behind stakeholder requests
- Strong program management skills: tracking multiple workstreams, dependencies, decisions, risks, and deliverables
- Ability to create structure in ambiguity and move cross-functional initiatives from discovery to delivery
- Ability to influence decisions and build relationships across teams and levels
- Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, technology, operations, service, design, and business partners
- Strong written and verbal communication, from detailed requirements to concise senior-leader updates
- Experience in Agile delivery models, partnering with or leading scrum teams
- Ability to adapt as the initiative moves from discovery and planning into execution
- Curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and quick learning of complex business and technical concepts
- Strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited direction
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years in digital product management, product ownership, business analysis, or related roles
- 5+ years defining or delivering complex digital experiences
- Experience documenting detailed functional requirements, workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria
- Experience across multiple product, business, operational, and technology domains
- Experience with responsive web and mobile app development
- Experience in Agile delivery models
- Strong project or program management experience, including cross-workstream dependency and risk management
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial services, fintech, brokerage, investing, or another highly regulated industry
- International, global, or multi-market client experience work
- Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and regulatory partners
- Mapping complex client journeys with digital, operational, and servicing components
- Defining requirements across multiple backend systems, APIs, data sources, and enterprise platforms
- Experience leading a scrum team or serving as a senior Product Owner
- Jira and Confluence experience
