On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) for a contract position based in the Central North East Region of Toronto. 

Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) - Job Description:
The Director of Advanced Planning is responsible for delivering advanced tax and estate planning advice to clients through financial advisors, and educating financial advisors and internal audiences on tax-efficient products and services. The role involves supporting the Regional Sales Team and driving sales by providing case consultation and support for tax-efficient insurance solutions.

Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) - Responsibilities:
• Develop a thorough understanding of various distribution channels by establishing and enhancing relationships
• Promote and deliver effective tax and estate planning advice to the sales team and key distribution partners
• Deliver and promote sales tools that support financial planning concepts and specialty needs analyses
• Work with High Net Worth Clients and their allied professionals to identify tax-planning opportunities
• Consult in the creation and deployment of consumer/allied advisor reference materials
• Deliver training workshops and associated materials for financial advisors
• Deliver client seminars and associated materials
• Participate in case development, including case research and special illustration
• Participate in industry profile-building activities
• Keep current on tax and estate planning issues through research

Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong knowledge of personal and corporate tax planning
• Excellent understanding of industry trends and their implications
• Experience working in the High Net Worth Market
• Strong organization and analytical skills
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training skills
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• CPA, LL.B, or FCIA designation
• Completion of the CICA In-depth Tax Program
• Completion of the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner Manager Business course

Director, Advance Planning (Bilingual-English/Mandarin) – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension

Telecommuter/Remote (regular travel to client sites)
