Director of IT Operations:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Director of IT Operations for a permanent role. This position is remote, with the company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Director of IT Operations - Job Description:
The Director of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing the company's core IT operational functions, ensuring systems, networks, and security operate reliably and efficiently. Reporting to the CTO, the role focuses on strengthening the IT environment, optimizing processes, and supporting business growth.

Director of IT Operations - Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute IT Operations strategy aligned with company growth objectives
• Ensure operational excellence in IT services, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity
• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering collaboration and communication
• Oversee design, maintenance, and management of on-premise and cloud systems
• Lead implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity standards and procedures
• Ensure IT Support function delivers excellent end-user experience

Director of IT Operations - Mandatory Skills:
• 8–12+ years of experience in IT Operations or related technical leadership roles
• Proven leadership experience in managing multi-disciplinary IT teams
• Strong technical foundation in network architecture, Microsoft 365, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience implementing IT operational best practices, including ITIL frameworks
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident management
• Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets

Director of IT Operations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CCNA/CCNP
• Experience in a multi-site or manufacturing/distributed operational environment
• Background supporting mid-sized organizations undergoing modernization or scaling
