Job Description

On behalf of our Supply Chain client, Procom is searching for a Distribution Planner 1 for a year contract with possible extension/conversion to perm. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Greensboro, North Carolina office.

Distribution Planner 1 - Job Description:
The Distribution Planner 1 will be responsible for planning the deployment of domestic packaged and bulk SKUs from manufacturing sites to warehouses using SAP APO SNP. The role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure customer orders are met and managing inventory effectively to prevent stock outs.

Distribution Planner 1 - Responsibilities:
• Plan deployment of domestic packaged and bulk SKUs from manufacturing sites to warehouses in SAP APO SNP to meet disaggregated forecast requirements
• Coordinate with Supply Planning and Production to monitor production changes and update deployment plans based on the latest information
• Ensure customer orders can be satisfied by collaborating with Customer Service and Logistics on product delays or shortages and customer priorities
• Communicate with external warehouses, Inventory, and logistics to coordinate stock transfer orders, product re-labeling, expired product management, and PPE updates
• Advise Demand Planners of changes impacting forecast disaggregation such as closing or opening of warehouses
• Monitor product supply per sales forecast and initiate necessary movements to avoid stock outs
• Update weekly alerts report for Customer Service, Tolling, and Supply Planning
• Manage product recalls, quality issues, and re-labeling
• Inventory management of phase out and sell out to assure timely disposition
• Contribute to new product launch teams, product line SOP meetings, monthly CU meetings, ROP meetings, and product allocation processes
• Maintain accurate distribution data in SAP material master and SAP APO SNP
• Represent Distribution Planning team on global and local planning projects

Distribution Planner 1 - Mandatory Skills:
• 3+ years in Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, or Logistics
• ERP, MRP, and Advanced Planning tool experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Teamwork-oriented
• Experience with SAP APO SNP

Distribution Planner 1 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• APICS certifications
• Experience with custom blend products, pallets paks, multipaks, or unique product configurations
• College Degree
• Experience in inventory management
