Application Security Engineer
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an Application Security Engineer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Southlake, TX office. Alternative locations are in Omaha or Orlando.

Job Description:
Our client’s Application Security team is responsible for protecting information assets in alignment with corporate policies. This role involves leading the establishment and evolution of Secure Software Development Program, which includes creating software security policies, providing security architecture guidance, and educating developers on secure coding practices.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with development teams on secure development practices
• Conduct software security scanning and penetration testing
• Provide security architecture guidance
• Educate developers and testers on secure coding practices
• Implement and scale enterprise application security tools and controls

Mandatory Skills:
• Application Security / Software Security Assurance experience
• Experience with application vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and remediation strategies
• Secure software design principles and secure SDLC experience
• Familiarity with application security testing tools, SCA, SAST, and secrets management tools
• Strong analytical skills with distributed data interpretation
• Financial or banking industry experience

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior engineering experience within a Software Security Assurance or Application Security team
• Experience integrating application security testing tools into agile development environments
• Familiarity with OWASP, CIS, and NIST frameworks

Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Southlake, TX, United States, hybrid with 4 days in office and 1 day remote. Backup location options are Omaha and Orlando.
