On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Lead Application Developer, SW Team (Java Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, Kubernetes) for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

This opportunity is within the Data & Analytics team at Global Asset Management, focusing on leading a distributed team of software engineers. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, overseeing deployments, and ensuring the execution of high-quality software solutions using a modern technology stack.

Lead Application Developer, SW Team (Java Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, Kubernetes) - Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of offshore software engineers.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle.
• Drive the successful delivery of projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and scope are met.
• Oversee end-to-end deployments.
• Provide technical guidance and support in the core technology stack.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Analyst.
• Address ad-hoc technical requests and operational needs.
• Monitor team performance and implement strategies to enhance productivity.

Lead Application Developer, SW Team (Java Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, Kubernetes) - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience leading distributed or offshore software development teams.
• Extensive expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Technical guidance on database design and management.
• Support frontend and backend development efforts.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Ability to manage dynamic priorities and evolving project requirements.

Lead Application Developer, SW Team (Java Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, Kubernetes) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Grafana and the ELK Stack.
• Eye for UX design and collaboration with UX designers.
• Familiarity with modern SaaS platforms.
• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Awareness of AI/ML concepts or frameworks.
