On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for an Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment for a 12 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Waterloo, ON office. 

Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment - Job Description:
Join a dynamic team responsible for delivering highly utilized functions of modern in-car infotainment systems. The role involves implementing customer-visible features used by millions, with the opportunity to test software under real-world conditions in test vehicles.

Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment - Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement software solutions for automotive infotainment systems
• Test software in test vehicles to ensure flawless media playback
• Collaborate with a motivated team in a fast-paced environment
• Focus on quality and attention to detail in software development

Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java
• Strong understanding of design patterns and software design principles
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Kotlin
• 3+ years of software development experience on Android
• Experience with AOSP level Android development

Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with C++
• Embedded software experience in automotive or mobile app development
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Advanced debugging experience with gdb
• Power user level experience with Linux

Embedded Software Engineer, Automotive Infotainment – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract position.
