Enterprise Architect II:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for an Enterprise Architect II for a 12 month plus contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s location in downtown Houston, TX

Enterprise Architect II - Job Description:
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead the alignment of technology strategy with business objectives across large-scale systems and transformation initiatives. This role places a strong emphasis on business architecture, ensuring that IT capabilities, systems, and investments directly support organizational goals and long-term growth.

Enterprise Architect II - Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain enterprise architecture across software, hardware, and communications systems
• Ensure solutions meet current and future business requirements, including cross-functional integrations
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, ensuring compliance across platforms and systems
• Evaluate workflows, organizational structures, and system performance to identify improvement opportunities
• Develop and maintain business architecture frameworks, including capability models, value streams, and process architectures
• Create and manage architecture roadmaps aligned to business strategy and transformation efforts
• Provide technical leadership, including mentoring and guidance to engineering and delivery teams
• Analyze solution alternatives and present clear recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
• Support vendor evaluations and technology selection processes
• Ensure consistency and compliance within the enterprise operating environment

Enterprise Architect II - Mandatory Skills:
• TOGAF certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 2–4 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related roles
• Experience supporting enterprise-level technology delivery, including custom development environments
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Experience aligning IT strategy with business capabilities and objectives
• Ability to analyze complex systems and recommend scalable, efficient solutions

Enterprise Architect II – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Advanced degree (MBA or related field)
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as Ardoq or similar platforms
• Background in capability modeling, process architecture, and value stream mapping
• Experience supporting transformation initiatives and long-term strategic planning
• Exposure to vendor evaluation and technology selection processes
