Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Events Associate to support the annual asset management events program. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (4 days in office, 1 day remote).
Role Overview:
The selected candidate will lead the end-to-end management of both large and small-scale events aimed at promoting BMO Global Asset Management investment products. The role involves planning, implementing, and optimizing distribution events to ensure exceptional experiences for clients and advisors, thereby impacting sales performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of BMO GAM events from inception to follow-up.
- Develop integrated project plans to manage event calendars and activities.
- Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, compliance, and finance, to ensure event success.
- Monitor and assess event performance, providing insights for future enhancements.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for venues and services.
- Conduct independent analyses to identify strategic opportunities for program enhancements.
- Lead event run-throughs to ensure all materials and logistics meet standards.
Must-Have Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in planning large-scale events within the financial services sector.
- Proficiency with event planning tools, including Cvent and Formsite.
- Strong understanding of investment industry regulations and requirements.
- Degree in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred.
- Advanced verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
- Experience collaborating with external marketing agencies.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working within capital markets to promote investment products.
- Familiarity with various sales distribution channels and client experiences.
- Knowledge of industry trends regarding event management best practices.
Ideal Candidate:

- Possesses the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity with ease.
