On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a HRIS Advisor Consultant - UKG.
Our client is seeking an experienced HRIS Advisor / HR Technology Consultant to support a strategic review of its current HR technology environment and future-state HRIS strategy.
The primary objective of this engagement is to provide an objective assessment and strategic recommendation regarding our client's future HR technology ecosystem. The organization has utilized UKG as its primary HRIS platform for approximately 10 years and is now evaluating whether to continue investing in its current environment, replace selected modules, transition to a different platform, or adopt a hybrid HR technology model.
This role is best suited for a senior HRIS professional with broad market knowledge, strong advisory capability, and hands-on experience assessing, selecting, implementing, and optimizing HRIS and HR technology platforms. The consultant will work closely with HR, payroll, compensation and benefits, recruitment, HRIS, technology, and leadership stakeholders to assess the current state, identify gaps, evaluate future-state options, and recommend a practical roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and operational needs.
The ideal consultant will be platform-agnostic, capable of evaluating solutions objectively, and experienced in guiding organizations through strategic HR technology decision-making.
HRIS Advisor Consultant - UKG Job Description:
Current-State Assessment
- Assess the current HR technology environment, including active modules, integrations, workflows, reporting, data quality, governance, and administrative pain points.
- Review current system usage across payroll, time management, recruitment, onboarding, compensation, employee records, reporting, and core HR functions.
- Identify areas where the current environment is meeting business needs and areas where operational friction exists.
- Document manual workarounds, process inefficiencies, reporting limitations, integration gaps, and system dependencies.
- Assess concerns related to customer service, legislative responsiveness, system complexity, scalability, user experience, and value for investment.
- Evaluate organizational readiness, operational impacts, and change management considerations related to future-state recommendations.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with HR, payroll, compensation and benefits, recruitment, HRIS, technology, and leadership stakeholders.
- Translate stakeholder pain points into clear business, technical, operational, and strategic requirements.
- Support the organization in defining future HR technology priorities and success criteria.
- Identify competing stakeholder priorities and facilitate alignment around decision-making criteria and business needs.
- Ask strategic questions to uncover unknown requirements, risks, dependencies, and future operational considerations.
- Evaluate whether the client should continue investing in its current HRIS environment, replace selected modules, transition to another platform, or adopt a hybrid HR technology model.
- Assess the potential role of various HR technology platforms, including ATS, payroll, time management, performance management, employee engagement, intranet/communication, reporting, and integration solutions.
- Provide insight into major HRIS and HR technology platforms currently available in the market.
- Support the evaluation of platforms such as UKG, Dayforce, ADP, BambooHR, Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters, 15Five, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or other relevant tools.
- Identify risks, benefits, implementation effort, dependencies, organizational impacts, and long-term considerations associated with each option.
- Develop executive-ready future-state HRIS strategy recommendations.
- Provide a practical roadmap outlining recommended next steps, sequencing, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource considerations.
- Recommend whether the client requires additional support following the assessment phase, such as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, implementation specialist, integration consultant, platform-specific SME, or other resource.
- Support leadership in determining whether to proceed with demos, vendor conversations, RFP activity, module upgrades, optimization work, or implementation planning.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic options to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Current-state HR technology assessment.

HRIS Advisor Consultant - UKG Mandatory Skills:
- Senior-level HRIS advisory, HR technology consulting, HR transformation, or HR systems strategy experience.
- Experience assessing, selecting, implementing, and optimizing multiple HRIS and HR technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of UKG, with broader exposure to other major HRIS or HR technology ecosystems.
- Experience evaluating HRIS ecosystems across payroll, core HR, time management, recruitment, onboarding, compensation, reporting, employee records, integrations, and employee experience.
- Ability to objectively compare platform options and advise on organizational fit based on business needs and operational realities.
- Strong understanding of HR operations and the relationship between HR process, technology, compliance, governance, reporting, and employee experience.
- Experience with Canadian HR, payroll, employment, or legislative considerations.
- Strong stakeholder facilitation and executive communication skills.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations and options to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and advisory capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a strategic consulting capacity.
- Availability to support Pacific Time working hours.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with UKG optimization, module upgrades, or UKG replacement assessments.
- Experience supporting Canadian organizations with approximately 500–1,000 employees.
- Experience with HRIS selection, vendor evaluation, RFP support, or HR technology roadmap development.
- Exposure to platforms such as Dayforce, ADP, BambooHR, Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters, 15Five, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar.
- Experience assessing ATS, performance management, payroll, time management, and employee communication/intranet solutions.
- Experience with HRIS integration planning, governance, and reporting/data strategy.
- Experience supporting organizations with limited internal HRIS capacity.

Approximately 35 hours per week to start, with the possibility of reduced hours as the project progresses.

Fully Remote, but PST working hours (9AM - 5PM PST)
