Field Technician I
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Field Technician I for a contract role. 

Job Description:
We are seeking a Field Technician I to join our team and provide on-site technical support, installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various systems. This role involves working with systems such as low-voltage cabling, fiber optics, access control, CCTV, antennas, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and digital displays.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client locations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions under supervision.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Document service activities and report findings to senior technicians or management.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide basic training on equipment usage.
• Follow company safety guidelines and industry standards while working on-site.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

Mandatory Skills:
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or IT systems.
• Basic knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, security, networking, or electronics.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Post-secondary education in a technical field.
• Experience with access control systems.
• Experience with CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Familiarity with wireless and antenna systems.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Assignment Length:
This is a contract position. 

Start Date:
ASAP.

Assignment Location:
Midland, Texas, onsite - travel within a 2-hour radius.
