Financial Analyst - Intermediate

Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Financial Analyst - Intermediate. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (location: 33 Dundas Street West Floor - 4, Toronto, ON) with an expected start date of May 25, 2026.

Role Overview:

This role supports the Canadian Retail Banking line of business by providing key financial analysis and portfolio management. The Financial Analyst will work closely with senior managers and legal entity experts to maintain financial models, analyze data, and support business reviews. The position contributes to day-to-day deliverables, project support, and overall portfolio management impacting personal deposits and retail lending portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management to update and maintain financial and data models.
• Execute monthly roll-overs ensuring accurate data ingestion aligned with business requirements.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and identify trends and variances.
• Prepare and update financial presentations for business reviews using tools such as PowerPoint.
• Collect and process data to assist with inquiries from various business groups.
• Perform day-to-day investigations and provide timely support to business units.
• Generate reports and retrieve information from existing models and databases to fulfill requests.
• Support ad hoc projects by generating models, reports, and contributing to team objectives.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in financial analysis.
• Financial modeling and data analysis expertise.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, functions) and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Power BI or SQL.
