Financial Analyst:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Financial Analyst for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Financial Analyst - Job Description:
This role involves supporting the Commodities and Currencies Product Control team by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards. The Financial Analyst will work on producing quality financial management information and maintaining financial records for bank’s commodities and foreign exchange businesses.

Financial Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.
• Ensure accounts and financial records adhere to standards and policies.
• Produce accurate daily/weekly/monthly/yearly P&L and balance sheet reporting.
• Prepare actual and risk-based attributions by portfolio.
• Continuously review desk procedures for efficiency and control.
• Understand and consider the Trading Desk’s risk appetite and culture.
• Pursue effective operations while ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
• Foster an inclusive and high-performance work environment.

Financial Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst.
• Strong financial analyst/accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of mark-to-market accounting and risk-based P&L attribution.
• Thorough knowledge of derivative, lending, and inventory products.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including Excel Visual Basics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Financial Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Strong understanding of bank reporting requirements and regulatory issues.
• Experience with Power BI.
• UNIX experience.

Financial Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

ASAP.

Financial Analyst - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office per week.
