On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Financial Services Analyst for a 12 month contract. This position is onsite at our client’s San Antonio, Texas office.

Financial Services Analyst - Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Services Analyst to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, audit activities, and technical accounting initiatives. This role is responsible for performing complex financial analysis, researching accounting guidance, preparing financial reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Financial Services Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial and operational reports, including variance analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgeting tools to support organizational planning and decision-making.
• Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and analysis for annual audits and other financial initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators, benchmarks, and financial trends, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Create and maintain dashboards, including ratio calculations, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
• Conduct technical accounting research and document findings through accounting memos and position papers.
• Evaluate and recommend financial policies, procedures, and controls aligned with accounting standards and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, desktop procedures, flowcharts, and operational guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
• Communicate financial concepts, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
• Provide support and guidance to internal business partners regarding financial and operational inquiries.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other assignments as needed.

Financial Services Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Auditing, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience performing financial analysis, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, or related finance and accounting functions.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to various audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other business productivity tools.

Financial Services Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience supporting finance, accounting, or operational business functions as a Financial Analyst.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience developing dashboards, financial metrics, and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit support processes, and accounting compliance requirements.
