On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3–4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications - Job Description:
The PeakXV Derivatives trading platform project involves rebuilding and revamping the integration with the valuation model library. The focus is on normalizing the model for Trades and Trade Schedule across multiple asset classes, requiring the creation of UI components using Angular and Node JS on the front end, with backend integration via REST API and WebSocket.

Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications - Responsibilities:
• Participate in Daily Standups
• Sizing of effort
• Analysis of requirement
• Build the required features
• Build unit and integration tests
• Facilitate the testing with QA team
• Design, deliver, and enhance new and current solutions and applications
• Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries
• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences

Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in Front-end Web Development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node JS)
• 5+ years of experience working with Angular (with versions 11+ and hands-on experience with 18+)
• 4+ years’ experience with REST API and WebSocket
• 2+ years’ experience with TDD / BDD
• 8+ years’ experience in designing efficient, fast, and resilient UI solutions (lazy loading, streaming)

Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of derivative financial instruments (IR Swaps, Cap/Floor)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with React

Front End Web Developer, Angular - Single Page Applications – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension for 6 months at a time minimum.
