Full Stack Developer (.Net/C#)

Assignment Details
  • Location: Onsite, Austin, TX or Southlake, TX — 4 days/week.
  • Duration: 12-month contract
Position Overview
This role sits on the Retail Onboarding and Activation team, building customer-facing and backend applications with a focus on client-centricity, reducing time to market, and increasing efficiency. The team is moving toward Test Driven
Development and Continuous Integration using Bamboo and Bitbucket. The candidate will work alongside a team of seasoned engineers responsible for the overall software development lifecycle and on-time, quality delivery of software releases. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with architects and business partners to define Agile stories for new capabilities
  • Perform thorough design reviews and code reviews
  • Provide technical direction and support to the rest of the team
  • Hands-on coding, unit testing, and production issue resolution
  • Lead design and implementation of new stories and bug fixes
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions and long-term team planning
  • Develop tools and practices that increase team efficiency
  • Mentor junior staff and support their career growth
  • Partner with fellow developers, product owners, technical leads, and architects
Technical Requirements
  • 8+ years of full stack application development experience, including mentoring/assisting junior developers
  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Front End: ASP.NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, sync/async services
  • Back End: .NET, .NET Core, C#, RESTful API design, microservices, event-driven architecture and frameworks
  • Database: Relational (SQL/Oracle)
  • Environment: Distributed monolithic and cloud-based microservices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry strongly differentiating)
  • Passion for enterprise-level agile development
  • Solid understanding of web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
  • Comfortable with CI/CD concepts, unit testing principles and implementation, API test automation, and automated deployment pipeline tools
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite strongly preferred: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, ability to quickly learn new concepts, and comfort interacting with all levels of technical and business teams
  • Proven ability to work independently while serving in a leadership role within a team
  • Team player, self-motivated, able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
