On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Full Stack Java Developer - Splunk & Dynatrace for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Full Stack Java Developer - Splunk & Dynatrace - Job Description:
This role involves working on onboarding and mobile applications within the Client Engineering - Mobile and Web group. The Full Stack Java Developer will own the end-to-end observability stack across Dynatrace, Splunk, Power BI, and Google Cloud (GCP) Monitoring, focusing on operational excellence and service health.

Full Stack Java Developer - Splunk & Dynatrace - Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain end-to-end monitoring for critical services using Dynatrace and GCP Cloud Monitoring.
• Build service maps, dependency models, and problem detection in Dynatrace.
• Implement SLOs/SLIs with error budgets and align alerting to customer impact.
• Create and optimize Splunk data models and build actionable dashboards.
• Develop operational analytics and executive reporting in Power BI.
• Lead incident response for Sev1/Sev2 incidents and maintain runbooks and decision trees.
• Use light coding/scripting to automate recurring tasks and contribute to observability standards.

Full Stack Java Developer - Splunk & Dynatrace - Mandatory Skills:
• 1+ years of experience with full stack development with Java.
• 2+ years of experience with Production Operations/Observability with Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Exposure to SPL (Splunk) and Dynatrace, including alert design and dashboards.
• Proven incident commander experience for Sev1/Sev2 incidents.
• Strong analytical mindset with a bias to measurable outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

Full Stack Java Developer - Splunk & Dynatrace – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Coding/scripting for automation and data manipulation (e.g., Python or PowerShell).
• Hands-on recent experience with GCP operations.
• Solid understanding of service reliability concepts.
• Familiarity with Error Reporting/Trace in GCP.
• Experience with Power BI for operational analytics.

This is a 1-year temporary contract position.
