On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Full Stack Web Developer, API - Python and FastAPI for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Full Stack Web Developer, API - Python and FastAPI - Job Description:
As a Developer on the Investment Platforms team in the bank’s Global Asset Management’s Toronto office, you will partner directly with Investment Management to help deliver custom technology solutions that support investment research and portfolio analytics. This involves working in the full end-to-end software lifecycle, including assessing requirements, designing application and data architecture, implementation, documentation, test and deployment automation, access control, and long-term ownership and support.

Full Stack Web Developer, API - Python and FastAPI - Responsibilities:
• Support various investment teams as a member of the Portfolio Engineering developer squad
• Develop and contribute to new and existing in-house applications using Python, .NET Core, SQL, and various front-end frameworks
• Build production-grade ETL pipelines, backend APIs, Python libraries, and web

Full Stack Web Developer, API - Python and FastAPI - Mandatory Skills:
• University education (any degree)
• 5+ years of development experience (preferably in web development/full stack)
• 5+ years API and Web Application development
• Python – must have
• FastAPI- must have
• Relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) - must have either 1 of the 2
• Excellent communication skills

Full Stack Web Developer, API - Python and FastAPI – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with .NET Core
• Familiarity with various front-end frameworks
• Experience in the financial or investment sector
• Knowledge of deployment automation tools
• Understanding of access control mechanisms

This is a 12-month contract position.
