Job Description
Geospatial Architect - Expert:On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Geospatial Architect - Expert for a 15-month role. This position is a part-time position with 3 days/week expected (Tues/Weds/Thurs).
Geospatial Architect - Expert - Job Description:
The project involves updating the Corporate Geospatial Technology documents for the 2027-2030 business cycle. The Geospatial Architect will align these updates with Council priorities, the Corporate Technology Plan, Enterprise Data Strategy, and Esri vendor strategy through organizational input, current-state analysis, and industry expertise.
Geospatial Architect - Expert - Responsibilities:
• Conduct full documentation and formal presentation of an environmental scan and analysis.
• Analyze the current state of geospatial technology and strategies within the client’s environment.
• Assess the current state of the geospatial industry, other municipalities, and vendors.
• Identify influencing factors on the future of geospatial technology and architecture.
• Complete and publish final documentation for the 2027-2030 cycle, including various strategic plans.
• Ensure alignment with existing overarching architecture and technology plans for IT.
• Provide guidance, insight, and recommendations on strategic direction, functional design, key IT integration touchpoints, and program service delivery.
Geospatial Architect - Expert - Mandatory Skills:
• Ten (10) years working experience within the last thirteen (13) years in the role of geospatial technology architect, focusing on Esri products.
• Ten (10) years' experience overseeing the rollout of a geospatial platform for an organization.
• Five (5) years' experience leading and coaching at an executive level.
Geospatial Architect - Expert – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations.
• Previous experience developing and implementing corporate geospatial technology strategies and plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Change management support experience when implementing a new geospatial architectural plan.
Geospatial Architect - Expert – Assignment Length:
This is a 15-month contract position.
