GMP Manufacturing Technician:
On behalf of our Biotechnology client, Procom is searching for a GMP Manufacturing Technician for a 1-year role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Chapel Hill, North Carolina office.
GMP Manufacturing Technician - Job Description:
The Advanced Cellular Therapeutics (ACT) Facility is a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility focused on the expansion and manipulation of human cells for clinical phase 1 applications, specifically involving chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells. The role involves working within an ISO 7 clean room environment, supporting the production of clinical-grade gamma retrovirus vectors for CAR T clinical trials.
GMP Manufacturing Technician - Responsibilities:
• Perform cell culture work within an ISO 7 clean room environment
• Work aseptically in a Biological Safety cabinet
• Follow SOPs and execute cell counting
• Make manufacturing decisions to support patient products
• Maintain inventory stock in clean rooms and release space
• Support various manufacturing duties as needed
• Lead or support projects for validations of manufacturing systems
GMP Manufacturing Technician - Mandatory Skills:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent)
• 3 or more years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a GMP environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Attention to detail
GMP Manufacturing Technician – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with CAR T cell applications
• Familiarity with Master Cell Banks (MCBs)
• Knowledge of gamma retrovirus vector production
• Experience in an ISO 7 clean room
• Project management skills
GMP Manufacturing Technician – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position.
