Golang Developer:
On behalf of our Capital Markets client, Procom is searching for a Golang Developer for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Golang Developer - Job Description:
The Senior Applications Developer will work on maintaining and enhancing a legacy Capital Markets payment application. The project involves backend development using Golang, focusing on regular application maintenance rather than a cloud transformation initiative.

Golang Developer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Go (Golang)
• Take ownership of development deliverables from requirements analysis through testing and production deployment
• Understand the existing application architecture, business domain, dependencies, and supporting systems
• Provide hands-on support throughout development, integration testing, user acceptance testing, implementation, and production release activities
• Independently lead smaller projects or application initiatives
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and development guidance to team members
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit test suites using Test-Driven Development practices

Golang Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 6-8 years of overall software development experience
• Minimum two to three years of hands-on Go (Golang) development experience
• Strong backend application development experience
• Experience providing technical direction, mentorship, or guidance to development team members
• Strong working knowledge of Test-Driven Development
• Experience writing and maintaining comprehensive unit test suites
• Experience with static code analysis and security or vulnerability scanning tools, including Snyk and SonarQube

Golang Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Awareness of and genuine interest in AI-assisted or AI-driven development tools and practices
• Exposure to payment applications, foreign exchange platforms, or Capital Markets technology environments

Golang Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension or conversion to FTE.

ASAP.

Golang Developer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in the office.
