Hardware Asset Management Consultant

Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Hardware Asset Management Consultant to support IT Consulting initiatives. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview:
The Hardware Asset Management Consultant will lead the installation and optimization of the ServiceNow HAM Pro plug-in, ensuring business integration with various data sources and establishing governance and controls. This role is critical in streamlining hardware asset management processes and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the impacts of the HAM Pro plug-in on other ServiceNow modules.
- Streamline existing processes and workflows related to hardware asset management.
- Design and implement new processes utilizing features and workflows in HAM Pro.
- Build dashboards and reports within ServiceNow to support decision-making.
- Execute hardware reconciliation activities to maintain asset integrity.

Must-Have Skills:
- Experience leading the business implementation of ServiceNow HAM Pro in enterprise environments.
- Proven end-to-end delivery of at least one complete HAM Pro implementation (design, build, test, deploy, hypercare).
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow HAM Pro tables, data models, normalization, workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
- Expertise in assessing HAM Pro impacts on other ServiceNow modules, particularly ITSM.
- Familiarity with discovery and scanning tools such as ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Intune, and Qualys.
- Integration experience with procurement or finance systems (e.g., Coupa).
- Proven track record in designing and executing hardware reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience managing various asset classes, including servers and network devices.
- Comprehensive understanding of the HAM lifecycle from ordering to disposal.
- Strong documentation, training abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on metrics and KPIs.
- Experience in regulated industries, such as banking, is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have Skills:
- HAM-related certification is a plus.
